Distribution Center Reference Model (DCRM)

The objective of DCRM is to systemize the process in distribution center and to establish an impartial basis for assessment. The range of technical projects, especially at stage of picking, reduces the transparency and comparability of different systems. In order to facilitate a comparison, DCRM should be based on the tasks to be performed instead of  technical implementation.

The evaluation of distribution center within DCRM is carried out by two components :

Comparison using the results of benchmark from a databank.
Comparison using a mathematical analytical model.
